In tragic news out of the Philadelphia Eagles’ training camp up in Lehigh, PA, head coach Andy Reid‘s son has been found dead inside his dorm room according to a recent news conference by General Manager Howie Roseman.
Roseman said, “[Andy] has been strong for us, we’re going to be strong for him right now”, during the press conference, seeming to be in shock over what had happened to one of Philadelphia’s greatest coaches.
The news was recently confirmed by ESPN football analyst Adam Schefter:
Tragic beyond words. RT

The drug-troubled past of Garrett, Reid’s eldest child of five, doesn’t seem to be in play here. After recovering from his addictions and behavioral issues, Reid had spent the last several weeks of camp working close-in-hand with the team’s strength and conditioning coaches.
The Lehigh University Chief of Police, Edward Shupp, said that his department had received a 911 call at 7:20 A.M. but that they’d found no evidence of “foul play”. Further investigations will be done by police and the coroner’s office.
We’d like to extend our deepest and most hearftelt condolences to Andy Reid, his family and the entire Philadelphia Eagles community.
