Philadelphia Union midfielder Michael Farfan has been nominated as one of the 2012 MLS finalists to be voted onto the FIFA 13 cover. Farfan, the San Diego-born Union player, has been having a breakout season with the club. This nomination is just more proof that Farfan is evolving into a MLS-renowned star.
He was drafted 23rd overall in the second round of the MLS SuperDraft out of the University of North Carolina. He’s has grown as a player on the Union along with his twin brother Gabriel ever since they were drafted into the organization. Farfan leads the team in several categories including assists, shots, and shots on goal. Although he has just one goal so far this season, he creates opportunities for others which is proven by his assists (4) and is always testing the opposing goalkeepers with shots on goal (13).
