The Philadelphia Eagles are suffering from a variety of injuries especially at the Wide Receiver (WR) position. Here is a complete list of the statuses, and impact of these injuries for Week 3.
DeSean Jackson (Hamstring): Probable
DeSean Jackson’s hamstring injury should not affect him very much. He participated fully in Thursday’s practice. He will not be able to be as affective in the passing game as he normally is.
Jeremy Maclin (Hip Pointer): Out
Maclin has been ruled out of Sunday’s game due to his injured hip. This will put more pressure on Desean Jackson to play an important role in the passing game. He will be replaced by Jason Avant.
Riley Cooper (Collarbone): Out
Riley Cooper will not be playing in Week 3, because of his injured collarbone. He has not played a single game this season so the Eagles should already have been prepared to play without him.
King Dunlap (Hamstring): Out
The 300 pound outside tackle will be truly missed on Sunday, especially by Eagles QB, Michael Vick. Dunlap provides great pass block and allows for Vick to stay in the pocket which he has worked on and has steadily improved.
Jason Avant (Wrist): Probable
Jason Avant as the likely backup for Maclin is also slightly banged up. This injury should not affect him very much, and he should be ready to go on sSunday.
Jason Kelce (ACL/MCL): Out
Kelce has been placed on the IR with his recent knee injury. Kelce was a great member of the Philadelphia offensive line and Michael Vick will be most affected by this injury as the inexperienced Dallas Reynolds takes over.
Other Minor Injuries
Defensive backs Nate Allen (S), Colt Anderson (S), and Curtis Marsh (CB) have been listed as probable.
