The Flyers finally got there first win of the season as they beat the New York Rangers 2-1. Lets see the 3 stars of the game tonight.
3rd Star: Nicklas Grossmann
Nicklas Grossmann set the tone early with a huge hit on Rangers speedy winger Marian Gaborik. From there he would go on to register an assist and numerous key shot blocks.
2nd Star: Wayne Simmonds
The Wayne Train finally got his break. After missing the net by inches numerous times in the past 3 games, Wayne Simmonds scored off of a deflection. He then assisted on Jake Voraceks powerplay goal.
1st Star: Ilya Bryzgalov
If anybody was wondering why this man is making $51 million, this is why. Bryz stopped 18 out 0f 19 shots, including key stops on the penalty kill late in the game. The only goal he let up was a bad bounce off of a blocked shot.
