The Philadelphia 76ers have promised a more open management style, and new CEO and co-owner Adam Aron made good on that promise by ensuring that many Sixers fan will be in attendance. Facing more and more requests to have the conference open not only to reporters but also the fans who buy tickets and fill the stadium, Aron recently tweeted the news:

Many people have waited for the announcement to come, seeing as Andrew Bynum is the most exciting new basketball player the city has seen since Allen Iverson. The event will be held on Wednesday, August 15th, at the National Constitution Center at 12:15 PM, according to John Clark of NBC10:

Philadelphia has its first legitimate big man since Dikembe Mutombo and Moses Malone, so let’s hope the city turns up in flocks to help welcome the 24-year old and convince that Philadelphia is worthy of a long-term extension! Oh, and don’t forget our new sharpshooter Jason Richardson, who deserves an equally cordial welcome.
