On Friday, September 21st the Philadelphia 76ers finally found the man they can believe in to keep this organization moving on the right track.
Tony DiLeo, a long time member of the Sixers organization, is that man. DiLeo has worked with the organization for 22 years and will be going entering his 23rd year as the new General Manager, replacing Rod Thorn who relinquished the position but will remain team president. DiLeo formerly worked as Senior Vice President and Assistant General Manager. He also has some coaching experience in Germany.
Not only has he coached and managed the game of basketball, but he has played as well; he played college ball at local La Salle University. The 76ers have hired am experienced general manager and he will be a great person to have work alongside Thorn as the team looks to continue it’s recent success with the help of prized offseason acquisition Andrew Bynum.
