Andrew Bynum Injury Update: Sixers Could Be Without Star Center For 7-8 Weeks

The Philadelphia Sixers (4-2) are going to have to play without All-Star center Andrew Bynum for at least the next month, who is suffering from a knee injury. The Sixers hope and expect Bynum to be cleared to participate in basketball-related activities by December 10, but then he will likely have to wait another couple weeks before he’ll see game action.

The Sixers are not necessarily playing well, but are finding ways to rack up wins. Their offense is not flowing well without Bynum. They are averaging 88.7 points per game (27th) and 19.7 assists per game (24th). Defense is what is helping them get wins. The Sixers do not have many individual players who specialize in defense, but they are playing great team defense, only allowing 88.3 points per game (2nd). Their offense and defense would be greatly improved with Andrew Bynum, but if they keep playing good team defense, it will allow them to keep getting wins, and try and compete with the top teams in the Eastern Conference.
