Eagles Hire Chip Kelly

The Philadelphia Eagles coaching search is over! In a sudden, swift move, the Eagles have named former Oregon Ducks head coach Chip Kelly as the team’s 21st head coach.

Kelly seemed to be out of the running a week ago, but with sanctions set to hit Oregon’s program hard, it seems he’s had a change of plan and will join Philadelphia. He was always one of Jeffrey Lurie’s top targets, so this move is what the Eagles’ owner has been looking for all along. Michael Vick will likely be returning as the team’s quarterback to run Kelly’s fast-paced style of offense.

This means Gus Bradley, Ken Whisenhunt and others will be looking for work, and it will be interesting to see who the Eagles defensive coordinator will be.
