Flyers 3 Stars: Meszaros, Timonen Lone Bright Spots in Loss to Bruins

Today’s game was another disappointing loss for the Flyers. The Flyers went down 3-0 in a span of under two minutes If they want to make a playoff push they need to be able to score goals. There were few bright spots in today’s 3-0 loss to the Bruins.

3rd Star: Kimmo Timonen

Timonen worked hard today, putting in 22:29 of ice time for the Flyers. He blocked three shots, and laid one hit. He was a -1 on the game, but that didn’t make a difference in how he played.

2nd Star: Nicklas Grossmann

Grossmann was his normal self tonight. He blocked three shots, put on seven hits, and was a -1. This was no different night for Grossman who is always physical and helping the team in any way he can.

1st Star: Andrej Meszaros

Meszaros was key to the struggling Flyers defense tonight. He was one of only a few players who had a neutral plus minus. He was the most solid defenseman on the ice even though he had just returned from injury. He was able to take full power one timers with no trouble, and contributed three blocked shots and three hits to the team.
