Flyers 3 Stars: Bryzgalov, Talbot Lead Flyers to Huge Win Over Devils

After an embarrassing performance Wednesday night, the Flyers finally got the message, and battled to a 2-1 win over New Jersey.  Here are your three stars of the night:

3rd Star: Claude Giroux

“G” certainly showed up tonight, playing hard at both ends of the ice, and putting home the game-winning shootout goal. An optimistic sign, as this is the type of bounce-back performance that the Flyers needed their captain to have.

2nd Star: Max Talbot

Talbot excelled in tonight’s contest. Along with supplying the team with solid penalty killing, he scored the all-important first goal that let the Flyers relax and go to work. Fantastic performance from No. 25.

1st Star: Ilya Bryzgalov

The Bryzzly Bear was no doubt the Flyers most important player tonight. Making 27 saves on 28 shots (along with 2 out of 3 shootout stops), Bryzgalov came up humongous big tonight.  He showed Flyers fans his will to win, making game-changing saves, especially in overtime. Everyone watching the game tonight so his (and the rest of the team’s) focus and determination, an encouraging sign for a team that is trying to get back into the playoff picture.
