Eagles To Work Out Florida DT Sharrif Floyd

As the 2013 NFL Draft nears, more and more clues are coming out about who the Philadelphia Eagles will be targeting with the No. 4 overall pick. According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Eagles will work out Florida DT and Philadelphia native Sharrif Floyd.

This will not just be a “local” visit; it will count as one of the team’s 30 official workouts. Other names set to be worked out are S Phillip Thomas, NT Star Lotulelei, and OLB Jarvis Jones among others.

In 2012, Floyd recorded 46 total tackles and 13.0 tackles for a loss. He would likely play 3-tech DE in Billy Davis’ new 3-4 system.
