DeSean Jackson’s Miracle at the New Meadowlands Punt Return Voted NFL’s Greatest Play

Wow. That’s the only reaction a Philadelphia Eagles fan can truly have.

After several days of voting, DeSean Jackson’s game-winning punt return has been voted by the NFL community as the game’s “Greatest Play” of all-time. With 58,635,836 votes, his punt return beat out Steve Young’s famous TD run versus the Minnesota Vikings which secured 42,853,011 votes.

Here is Jackson’s incredible punt return, which capped off a 21-point comeback win within 8 minutes against the hated New York Giants:

This play was picked out of 64 possible plays in NFL.com’s bracketology, a 6-round extravaganza where Jackson’s punt had to beat Young’s run, Michael Vick’s OT TD run versus the Vikings, Billy Johnson’s Hail Mary, Barry Sanders’ juking TD run vs the New England Patriots, the famous 49ers Super Bowl TD catch thrown by Joe Montana, and Troy Polamalu’s flying tackle.
