Ben Revere’s Amazing Catch vs Cincinnati Reds (VIDEO)

As soon as Ben Revere jumped up, threw it to Freddy Galvis, and Jay Bruce was doubled off, one thought crossed my mind: Catch of the Year. And MLB’s official Twitter affirmed it just minutes later.

In the bottom of the second inning, with Jay Bruce on first, Todd Frazier lined an 0-1 fastball into deep center field, putting Ben Revere on his heels. Revere turned, ran back 5-7 steps, and leaped high into the air, outstretching his arms and making an incredible catch. On top of that, he quickly jumped up and threw the ball back into the infield, doubling off Bruce who had gone nearly 1 1/2 bases assuming the ball would get over Revere’s head.
