Sixers Trade Wolters for Ledo, Ledo to Dallas

Update at 1:11 pm Friday

According to Earl Sneed, the Sixers are receiving Boston’s 2nd-round pick in 2014 in exchange for Ledo.

Update at 11:52 pm

The Sixers have made another move (Hinkie clearly on a sugar high) and traded Ledo’s rights to Dallas. It is unknown who/what they are getting in return, possibly cash considerations.

Update at 11:46 pm

Sixers have traded rights to Nate Wolters to the Bucks for Ricky Ledo. Ledo is a pure shooting guard with great handles who can score the ball by getting it to the rim. His forte will be finishing at the basket and dishing the ball to outside shooters. Sad to see Wolters go for a guy who didn’t play a minute of college basketball.

Grade: B

The Philadelphia 76ers selected Glenn Rice with the 35th overall pick, only to trade him to Washington for the 38th and 54th picks.

With the 38th pick, the Sixers selected South Dakota State guard Nate Wolters. Wolters averaged 22.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game in his 2012-2013 at SDKST, winning the 2013 Summit League Player of the Year. He was a three-time Summit League first-team player, and third-team All American.

This is a fantastic selection. Wolters can do a little bit of everything, distribute, rebound, and most importantly shoot the rock. He will back up both point guard and shooting guard for this team, and look for him to possibly even be their 7th man (assuming Thaddeus Young comes off the bench).

steal at 38. This young team just getting better and better with each move, each pick.
