Sixers Sign Undrafted Free Agent Rodney Williams

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! reported on Friday morning that the Philadelphia 76ers had signed undrafted free agent Rodney Williams of the University of Minnesota.

During his senior season, Williams averaged 10.1 ppg and 5 rpg in the PF position. Standing tall at 6’7″ and weighing 205 lbs, Rodney Williams could provide some good minutes for the Sixers and give Spencer Hawes and Thaddeus Young a rest if he makes the NBA roster. A lot of that will come down to his performance on the Summer League team in Orlando. If not, he’ll likely begin the season with the Delaware 87ers, the team’s D-League affiliate.
