Flyers Re-Sign Center Adam Hall

Hall with the Flyers last season

On Thursday, July 4th the Flyers announced that they have re-signed center Adam Hall to a one year contract worth $600,000. Hall (32), was claimed off waivers by the Flyers last season from the Carolina Hurricanes, who previously got Hall on waivers from the Tampa Bay Lightning. Hall last year mainly played the 4th line center role with the Flyers at the end of last season.

I think that this is a pretty strong move shown by the Flyers as Hall is a very good 4th line energy man, and also a very talented shot blocker and penalty killer. Hall last year played 37 games with 3 clubs last year (Lightning, Hurricanes, Flyers) while registering 0 goals and 4 assists for 4 points last season. Hall also provides a nice depth at the Center position in case of injury or in case a center is traded during the offseason.
