Match Day Preview: Union vs. Chivas USA

Todays match at PPL Park in Chester, PA has the Union coming up against Chivas USA. After a hard fought draw and a disappointing loss, the now 4th in the East Union need a win to gain some confidence back. This fixture gives the Union a great chance to do just that. Chivas USA is in last place in the West with only 14 points and an away goal difference of -9.

This contest should prove the Union to be the winners if Conor Casey and Sebastien le Toux can be productive up front. With Jack McInerney still away on International Duty with the US at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, this striking pair needs to capitalize on the struggling defense of Chivas in order to get the three points tonight. Zac MacMath and the Union backs need to stay strong and play smart to avoid letting in any fluke goals that would give Chivas an advantage that they should not have in the first place. Statistically, the Union are the better team, but upsets do happen, and after the loss to Houston Dynamo, the Union need a win to propel them towards some tough match-ups.

You can catch the game at 7:30 EDT on The Comcast Network.
