Sixers Offer Head Coaching Job to Brett Brown

Sam Hinkie has made a decision: he wants Brett Brown to be the Philadelphia 76ers’ next head coach, according to a report from Yahoo! NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski.

Brown has a knack for player development.

Brown is the guy I have been encouraging the Sixers to go after this whole time. He has been on Gregg Popovich’s staff as an assistant for the better part of a decade and helped develop the vaunted Spurs’ triumvirate (Duncan, Parker, Ginobili). He will help develop this team’s young talent (Nerlens Noel, Michael Carter-Williams, their two first-round picks next year) and hopefully build a championship contender.

According to the report, the two sides are still negotiating the terms of his deal (money and length) but for now it seems that the Sixers have found their guy.
