Phillies Sign Outfielder Roger Bernadina

Michael Martinez has made the most trips between Allentown and Philadelphia. Ever.

The utility infielder, hitting .167 with the Phillies, was optioned down to Triple-A Lehigh Valley again today to make room for new signee Roger Bernadina. Bernadina, recently released by the Nationals, will likely come in and start some games in outfield in place of John Mayberry Jr and Casper Wells.

He is hitting .178 this season, but hit .291 with 5 homers in 2012.
