Cary Williams and Riley Cooper Fight at Practice

Riley Cooper and Cary Williams are two people whose names have been ubiquitous this summer. Williams for his OTA absences and on-the-field nonsense and Cooper for his racial slur during a Kenny Chesney concert.

Now, they’re back in headlines after going at it during practice today, just before the practice was closed to the media (picture to the right). Michael Vick was the one who ended up breaking it up, pushing Williams away from Cooper during 1-on-1 WR/CB drills.

No one knows what started the fight, but we do know that both are definitely stressed. Cooper is hanging on by a thread to his starting job and has faced nothing but scrutiny since the video came out. Williams is even more volatile, having been ostracized by the city already for his OTA shenanigans; those feelings are only exacerbated by his reputation as a scuffler and his poor preseason play.

What we do know is that both of them need to get their acts together if this team plans on upsetting RG3 and the Redskins Monday night.
