The Philadelphia 76ers and GM Sam Hinkie are looking to add young, talented players to the roster during this rebuilding phrase, and that continued this week as the team is set to sign former Los Angeles Lakers point guard Darius Morris, per Yahoo! Sports.
Morris refused an offer to return to the Lakers in search of more playing time, and he will certainly get that in a completely rebuilt Sixers backcourt. Along with rookie Michael Carter-Williams, he will help to anchor a group of guards that returns one starter (Evan Turner) from last year.
Morris, 22, will sign a partially guaranteed deal but is likely to make the roster. He averaged 4 points and 1.6 assists per game last season with the Lakers.
