Sixers First-Round Pick Nerlens Noel to Miss Entire 2013-2014 Season

The Philadelphia 76ers campaign “Winless 4 Wiggins” is on, and it’s on in full force.

First-round pick Nerlens Noel, coming off of knee surgery at Kentucky, is now expected to miss the entire 2013-2014 season, per head coach Brett Brown. Even if he is medically cleared to play before the season ends, the Sixers do not want to rush things more than they have to with a lottery pick in sight.

Noel, the athletic big man who was known for poster-worthy blocks, would have likely played the last 15-20 games or so. Now, it appears Arnett Moultrie, Spencer Hawes, and Kwame Brown will anchor the Sixers’ front court for the season’s entirety.
