Two Eagles Make the Pro Bowl, Three More As Alternates

Here are the guys who made the roster

McCoy and Jackson had career years (photo: Philly.com)

RB LeSean McCoy: McCoy, who will end up with the NFL rushing title, has 1476 yards and 9 touchdowns and is considered by many to be the NFL’s top running back now. He has led the Eagles offensive resurgence over the past two months and will likely finish in the top 3 in MVP voting as well.

OT Jason Peters: In his first season back from major knee injuries, Peters anchored arguably the top offensive line in the NFC this season, keeping Nick Foles upright and blowing up holes for McCoy. This is his 6th Pro Bowl.

Alternates

WR DeSean Jackson: Jackson has had a career year, with 79 receptions for 1304 yards and 9 touchdowns. He could set franchise single-season records for receptions (90) and yards (1409) this Sunday against Dallas.

OG Evan Mathis: Mathis was great again this year, and it is ridiculous that he did not make the Pro Bowl despite being rated as the 2nd-best offensive guard by Pro Football Focus.

QB Nick Foles: It is likely he was hurt because of the fact that he only played 10 games, but Foles has been incredible this season. Since taking over for an injured Michael Vick, Foles has completed 63.9% of his passes for 2628 yards and 25 touchdowns, with a league-leading 118.8 passer rating.

Snubs include C Jason Kelce and P Donnie Jones, who both played very well this season.
