Report: Sixers to Buy Out Danny Granger

First, it was Earl Clark. Now it appears Danny Granger will be the second player acquired before last week’s trade deadline to be bought out by the Philadelphia 76ers. The report was published by Liberty Ballers’ Jake Pavorsky.

Granger never appeared on the court for the Sixers (via PBS).

General Manager Sam Hinkie traded Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen to the Pacers for Danny Granger and a 2nd-round pick. Few expected Granger to re-sign here, but when he began talking about how little he wanted to be in Philadelphia, a buyout seemed imminent.

Granger is rumored to be receiving interest from the Heat and Spurs; the 30-year old has averaged 8.3 points per game this season in a limited role.
