Report: Timberwolves Interested in Thaddeus Young As Kevin Love Replacement

According a report by ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Minnesota Timberwolves are interested in Philadelphia 76ers forward Thaddeus Young as a potential replacement for Kevin Love.

The Timberwolves are reportedly fielding numerous offers for Love, 25, and that one of them, from the Cleveland Cavaliers, includes 2014 No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins.

The Sixers were rumored to be dangling Young at draft time, but obviously did not get a satisfactory enough return for him to warrant pulling the trigger on a deal.

It is possible that a Young trade could come after the Timberwolves move Love or be part of a larger multi-team deal. Minnesota has already traded its 2015 first-round pick to Phoenix, which makes one think that a three- (or even four-) team deal is more likely.
