In what has already been a whirlwind day of free agency for fans of the Philadelphia Eagles, it appears things could get even more complicated in the coming days/hours.
Jason La Canfora of CBS is reporting that he expects the Eagles to land safety Devin McCourty and pass rusher Jason Worilds in addition to the already reported Byron Maxwell.
From the article:
La Canfora adds that owner Jeffrey Lurie is especially keen on McCourty, who has 17 interceptions and 58 passes defended in his five-year career with New England.
McCourty and Worilds are arguably the top free agents at their respective positions, and would be significant upgrades from Nate Allen and Trent Cole/Brandon Graham respectively. Expect the Eagles defense to perform at an elite level if these signings come to fruition.
